Little updates

WTF Near
Hey,

Doing my best to keep posting to all of my blogging sites, but the weirdness of myspace is so addicting. I think I spent 18 hours a day in front of  computer.

I worry a bit about that... But, between Intermixi, School and Work... I'm always updating something. :)

Just got my RAM in the IMAC  upgraded to 2gigs and now I can finally run Photoshop and Itunes at the same time and still surf the web... Thank God! My brother said 2GB is the max for my IMAC. Now I have no excuse to start making some Intermixi commercials!

By the way that's been going well with my two tours. Check out some of the spotlights I've been showcasing.

Here's a preview of #3 going up tomorrow.

It's a touching piece about my time living in Osaka, aaawwwwwwww hahaha

From the desktop of Aka-san,

If there's one thing I have always had a problem explaining without bias, it would be why every travel group needs to visit the Kansai area of Japan. While I don't want to take anything away from Tokyo (there's so much to do!), I have always felt a kinship with the laid-back "Los Angeles" vibe of Osaka. Coupled with the underlining serenity of nearby Kyoto, I feel that the Kansai area is my secondary home.

Escape the metropolis and embrace the "essence of old Edo Japan." You will feel a spiritual difference taking in a breathtaking view of the city from the Kiyomizu Temple, retracing samurai footsteps at Nijo Castle, and river rafting down the Hozugawa River in Kyoto.

When I used to live in Osaka, my deepest relationships emerged from places like the Rock Rock Bar, Club Pure (all you can drink), and Den Den Town (anime, bootlegs, and jav central). You can walk down the alleys of Namba and immediately start up a conversation with the not-so-shy Osakans.

With Samurai X being my favorite story of all time, it is a guilty pleasure to run through the falling cherry blossoms in Kyoto. I want to believe I am retracing the steps of the Battousai or Zatoichi.

It was an honor to share my Kansai experiences with the first Intermixi tour group in 2007. I look forward to more memorable moments in Spring 2008.

It's up ashita!

Reflections of 2007

WTF Near
Reflections of 2007 I'll just randomly start typing and see what comes out. I've been thinking about it for the last few days and now I wanna talk about it.

2007 was considerably stronger in my rebuilding period since coming back from Japan in 2006. It was the first full year I spent back in the states. I really can't believe how much has changed in a whole year.

I had about 10 jobs in 2007! Courier to working at an Anime store to telemarketing shitty packaging tape, to telemarketing a shitty movie, to then working at a flower company to then working for someone in Japan, doing several temp jobs, working at for a Jerry kids and finally working back at the flower shop.

It's all come full circle and I long as I don't fuck it up I'm quite happy being a petal pusher...

In 2007 I made an official return to the anime scene infamous Aka-san came from, I gave birth to Intermixi Radio and Intermixi Japan Tours. I really want to thank all my family, friends and the fans who supported the show and look out for me when I was the poorest. I'll never forget when they were going to cut the power and you guys got together to help me out.

Because of the radio show I noticed how many people in LA can be leechers. I went through several hard partnerships, where in the end I saw how much people just wanted a free ride and didn't want to put the work in. Man... it really saddens me how people say they are "a motivated person" but they really aren't...

Fucking cocksuckers...

Speaking of which... naw I won't talk about the bitches of 2007. Should I, hmmm...

In 2007, I went through 4 roommates. Ruben, Sean, David and now Jeff. The best part about living with creative people is you continue to be creative. The worst part is they are always on the go. Or maybe I should stop walking around in a skin tight spidey costume... Hmmm

I finally went back to Japan in 2007. Considering in 2003 I was going 3-4 a year, my one year absence was pretty long for everyone. It was a big struggle for myself and the people I love on both sides of the world. I was talking to Chichi the other day and we were talking about how most people are either all Japan and American stuff is a hobby, or vice versa. It's rare to have a 24/7 attitude of being in both world s on a consistent base. (ie. my cell phone is programmed to call japan and it's a require to be able to email my peeps on a daily bases.) In fact I be waking up minutes till 7am PST to email and/or call Japan at midnight New Year Day.

AkeOme Minna-san...

In 2007 I went back to college. After 5 years or so I was forced back. I realized no matter what the deal is with Intermixi. I will never have a job I will enjoy fully to fall back on. Of course most of you know Digital Manga made me famous as much as I made it, but 2007 was full of shitty ass job and shitty ass bosses that talked a lot and it was all hype to fill their pockets more and more. I will never trust another job post in the entertainment section and I swear I will never... eeeeeeeeeever do another telemarketing job again.

In 2007 if I was upset about my life, I used to say "At least I'm still not living my life at DMI"

In 2008 I can say "At least I still don't work at shitty job (take your pick)"

So I got my first grade in... it's an A! HOLY SHIT! I ARE SO SMART!

In 2007 I'm sorta getting a hold of my money problems due to 05-07. Someone told me I eat like a hobo. That might be sooo, but I can't buy what I can't afford. and +10k says I'm eating like a hobo for a while.

And finally in 2007, if keep quiet about my relationships. And I prolly will continue to until the time is right. Sure, it looks and feels like I'm living a Bruce Wayne/Batman lifestyle (tall, dark, sexy, and lone ranger.) but I'm sorta fixed to be that way and I believe I need to make myself "more powerful" in all aspects.

I really think get what we project and I'm projecting the energy my ideal life is not ready for yet. And I will be improve myself to get there. I can't be distract too much from my own mission to better myself and my surroundings and at this moment I think relationships slow things like that down.

Very much like Batman huh?! LOL

There is... one person/thing/object, I have been thinking about so damn much I'm hating that I ever had these feeling... but all I can do is believe in myself that it'll work out. It has too..

But I did have a crush on two Lesbians this year... that was a strange fluke...

In 2007, I hope in some way my life continues to help some of my supporters that have thanked me in the past and apparently look to me for inspiration. I personally encourage you young ones to never take shit from anyone and believe only in yourself.

And so I wish you all a Happy New Year Venom Style! We will take over!

At this moment, I think I will be spending NYE home alone for the most part by design. My good trusting friendships are still in a constant flux so here's to a wild 2008 NYE!

I AM LEGEND, I AM ISAAC, I AM AKASAN.

Halo 3

I slept from 4am to 6pm. But I finally got a chance to open up my Halo 3 limited edition collectors box. Check it out:

The game is ok and the graphics are pretty good in comparison to Halo 2. But I still think Gears of Wars has more edge.

Many thanks to [info]pinguino

And feeling this damn Jetlag like a bitch...

Whoops sorry I didn't mention my departure on LJ...

It was good to be back although for so short.

Business-wise I couldn't have asked for a better group. The vibe was super awesome and I hope they all could take some of that Japan experience with them.

Personally I was taking a gamble trying to mix a lot of my business with pleasure. I brought the friend side into the business and luckily that worked out great! But due to some misjudgements and signals a relationship is kinda rocky right now. We'll see what happens from this point.

Other than that one bad point, I was reunited with a lot of my long time freinds and co-workers. It was a great reunion for all.

But, as I was flying back home it had occurred to me that my social life is in serious need of starting over. For about a year and half, my mind and soul has halfway been in both Japan and America. I can't necessarily ignore all my connections to Japan. But I think I need to do better on allowing myself more time with the American lifestyles. Otherwise everything I enjoy doing will seem like ghosts and far away. Things I can only enjoy every 6 months or so and it's not guaranteed that my Japanese relationships will still be the same as when I left it. (I think that was the biggest issue with the above said.)

That being said, as I'm once again on the lookout for a new job and roommate, It's time to start working on the Spring PJT reunion tour with Intermixi. 2 tours for sure!

Just some pics:

I lost my venue for playing for my birthday party. Damn, Damn, Damnit. I'm looking at this other place which is a dog store by day, but they are worried about there power outlet frying if the equipment it too much.  The other thing is I get the place only from 8-1am. I need like 2am at least.

I noticed I might be able to play at a dive bar, but it's sooo not DJ standard and would lack the feel of a party enviroment. OOOOOOOOOOOOOiiiii.

I don't know what to do.
